Unhappy Breaking News: Norm is Sold... Transition of Workhorse Power

Its really killing me to do this, but I have sold Ol' Norm to a fellow member, Colin Coon, to use for his cross country WVO trip. At least its going to a fellow member, and I will get to see Norm again when he's passing through in March.

The blow was softened by my 1995 E320 Wagon purchase, but no name is sticking to it yet. I bought it for $2,500 after a PPI revealed it needed a new head gasket and a small list of easy fixes.

Here are some photos of the wagon transfer of power. Clearly Norm is much more photogenic. I feel like a complete idiot until I take the E320 for a spin... Oh, the power, comfort, and silence.

That sucks. IMO the 1980 looks much better. Im not saying I don't like the new wagon but I prefer the W123.

One more photo...

My room mate thinks I've made a huge mistake, and the wagon is the ugliest color she has ever seen. I try not take too much stock in her opinion, especially since that's her Hyundai in the background, but it did get under my skin a bit.

Norm does look nicer right now, but I'm hoping that removing the pinstripe and adding some more aggressive wheels will really jazz up this W124.

Love the color of the w123 wagon you just sold; I've owned the w123s and the w124s, and I prefer the w123s as toys and the w124s as daily drivers.

Norm will be in good hands Tyler, I can promise you that. He won't just disappear from the site either, there will be plenty of updates with Norm in it both for my project and for anything else I may do to him!! He will be properly taken care of just like he was in your possession.

I'd really like to publicly thank Tyler for helping me out with Norm. If he hadn't of told me about Norm, my project would be a LOT more difficult for me right now. Tyler's been super helpful during this time, as I had never purchased a vehicle myself before. He's a nice guy, don't be TOO mean to him, he's be really nice to me!

I'm really anticipating Norm's arrival in the next week or so; he will probably become my most prized possession.

Also, for those of you not familiar with my project, here is a link: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?p=1889326#post1889326

No I like the fact that see likes the W123 better. I hate anything American.

Colin, where are you located in FL? Did you drive it from KS to FL?

Isn't Hyundai Korean?

I'm located in Sarasota. I'm actually having it shipped down here from KS, and it should be picked up tomorrow from Tyler. Hopefully transport will only take 5-10 days like advertised! It just would not have been practical for either one of us to drive it down here.

Mercy, that car is Korean, a much worse origin.

I do agree that the W123 is much more attractive, and reliable, but driving the E320 is practically orgasmic.

Did I brainwash Colin, No... He can tell you the selling price if he wants to, but it does come with a brand new Evil Servo.

Please see above post. Are you one of those sick people who get a kick out of making others feel bad? Judging from you signature, it seems you are posting from experience.
