I finished my gauge needles today

I used Krylon Fluorescent Orange spary paint. The paint is alomst an exact match to the original. In the pic it shows up more red but in person it looks more orange. I very carefully taped the needles off and sprayed them. Let me know what you think.

looks good. I've been considering doing this too. For whatever reason, the tach and the second hand are yellow, and the rest are a nice orange.

Really nice. Makes the gauges look new. I think I may try this myself.

I used Testors paint from a local hobby store and a cheap paint brush. Its one of the cheapest, easiest, and nicest upgrades you can do to your car.

79, what is the finish on the paint? It looks like satin to me.

Good job and looks good.

I also like the "Standard measurement" gauges. Brings a unique rare look to the cluster.

In person the paint looks flat, in the picture it seems glossy. The picture doesn't do the gauges any justice.

DV, thats the oil/temp/fuel gauge you sent me.

I was wondering where your metric had gotten to. And those blinker arrows are so pointy.

Looks good..I had the gauges out one time to fix the odo, and put them back together before I read about people painting the needles. One day something else in there will break and then I'll have to take them out again..then I'll paint them
