Info about 1990 350 SDL P/S pump
The housing on the powersteering pump broke where the housing bolts to the engine. Looking online I found two replacement parts one indicates it is w/o self leveling w/o adaptive damping system, the other is with auto slip differential and tandem pump. The first list price is $543 the second list price is $1108. Can you tell me what the performance difference in these two pumps is?

If you have the SLS and/or the ASD the pump has two pumps in tandem: one for the power steering, and the other for the hydraulic oil to the leveling and diff-lock.
I just sold a dual-type (with ASD and SLS) to Larry Perkins who frequents the diesel forum, he might be willing to sell it to you as he just wanted it to tear apart, try contacting him. If you need the single-type, much easier to find.

This is very helpful information. Thank you. I only have two hoses attached to the pump, one just below the reservoir and one at the base of the pump. Does this mean I have a single pump - not the tandem?

Sounds like it. If you have the tandem pump, you will have an additional plastic hydraulic fluid tank mounted just behind the left headlamp indicating you have SLS and/or ASD.
