Classic Glow-Plug relay not working problem? (cofirmation)
 

I've done all the reading, I just need a confirmation that my glow plug relay is busted given my particular situation. About a week ago, my glow plug light would barely light and never turn off when I tried to start, hard to start as well. Now, the battery is COMPLETELY dead, and this was a brand new unit week-1/2 ago. I am assuming the relay is dead and is stuck open, draining my battery. Agree/Disagree?

Probably. Check to see if you have 12 volts at the plugs all the time. You can also listen for the relay clicking on and off. If your glow plugs have been on all the time, I suppose it's also possible some may have burned out?

Without a meter testing the voltage to the glowplugs you are just guessing. Its probably a good guess, but.....

Change "open" to "closed" and you might have a theory. But not a real plausible one.
