Still, my Benz with Blizzaks all around handle the snow really well. Almost as well, I would say, as my old Rabbit used to do with Blizzaks. Something about the benzs...they don't slide as much...maybe its the RWD. And when it does, I can easily correct it. I had a scare twice in the Rabbit where the tail went. Fortunately, I could get out of it before it really spun. Never felt that way in the benz. Some cement in the boot and she's ready to take the snow :D BTW, I drive to Richmond to work, and I can tell you the kind of madness you get coming from Pitt Meadows/Maple Ridge, which is 4x4 heaven. So far, two have died already in ditches. I know of one where she was this 4x4 flew by her and (according to her) it just literally flipped with it came back to the right lane and went belly up in one of the ditches. The guy was dead by the time the EMS guys arrived. Now that's insane. |
I do miss Minnesota at times...
A couple hours ago I drove my Jeep up to the Store, light rain, perfect power slide Uturn.
I really had the feeling I was back on a frozen lake MN. Then I hopped out of the Jeep in shorts in FL. I do wish I had my 300sd in MN to know how it handles in snow & ice. |
