Transmission/Vacuum problem?

Im beginning to look for a 300D again (had one for 4 years that I sold 2 years ago to a fellow forum member). I emailed a guy about his car and this is what I got in return concerning how the transmission shifts:

"no slipping on the transmission but there is a vaccum leak somewhere because the center vents do not work. Shifts smooth with defroster on high, if not you can feel it"

Is there a particular vacuum part that could cause that problem?

It's got the typical vacuum leaks in some or many of it's vacuum pods. A bit of work to get to them all...........one required dash removal..........but, it's the only way to get the system properly functioning.

Sounds like there are leaks in the climate control system. Mostlylikely, like Brian said, it's the actuator pods.

Sounds like if they are asking $3k, I should keep looking with that kind of problem.
