P1402 Code
I have a 2007 ml 320 cdi, I started it this morning and the check engine light went on. I hooked the scanner upto it and it shows P1402. What does this code mean???

EGR valve.
Check the easy stuff first: is its vacuum line and electrical connection hooked up? If so, it may be sticking due to sludge and cold temps. |
It has 73000 miles and it was 19 degrees F this morning. Does it need to be cleaned on a regular basis and how do I go about doing that.

did you got fix the valve, or clean the part?
i have the same problem. Can anybody tell me where to locate the EGR Valve? thank you on any help, is there any book that will tell me how to locate the valve? |
