Leak isolation w123 anything other than defrost?

I been having issues with run-on so today i dug into it apparently i have leak on everything except defrost would that indicate the defrost door flap is leaking or another door flap? cant find the locations/diagrams at moment

Run-on

If you use commas and periods, your run-on issues will stop:rolleyes::D

haha

But to the issue at hand sounds like you got leaking vacuum lines/ pods which means taking off the dash to fix.

Unhook the green line and plug the T. That will atleast get your car to turn off.

Even simpler, just push the far right button on the climate control panel which will cut off all the vacuum going to the system (I believe).
Many pods can be fixed without removing the dash.

true for the most part but the defrost one you cant if you have fat hands. Most of the others the dash doesnt need to come off. Removing the glovebox should make life easier.

Isolate the 2 usual culprits of leaks. The door lock system and the AC vacuum element system. Do this by disconnecting the green and yellow based vacuum lines as they go into the cabin near the firewall. Block the lines on the engine side with golf T's. Then try to stop the engine. If it stops it then the leak is at one of the 2 systems. If it does not stop then it is either the vacuum pump, the shutoff unit or in the EGR/transmission system. Try attaching each system separately. This will allow you to figure out which system is leaking.
Now if it is your AC elements. It is not required to remove the dash.

I think it may be in the acc i hear a whistle when it's idling the only time i dont hear it is when the defrost is on. I took all the acc out and tested the pods cant find the source i'm thinking could be one of the solenoids leaking? i'm not sure how to test those since i stripped out 2 of the bolts on the vacuum pump i'm not sure what to do next was gonna just go ahead replace the vacuum pump. I have the door locks, egr lines unhooked and plugged only thing on that line is the acc and shutoff are they hooked into the hard line on the 2nd nipple or first and does it matter?
