My hat is off to you, that is quite a feat.

Are you the original owner, and on the same un rebuilt eng?

I just flipped 343000 yesterday, now if I can get to 730960 on this new eng. I will match you

Charmalu,

I bought it in 3/1989 with 64,300 miles. I have put on the rest in the roughly 20 years. The engine is original (1 head gasket at 238kmi). The standard transmission was replaced with a used unit at 343kmi, as the input bearing died.

The rest of it is original.

Rolled 300,000 twice.........once in a junk '71 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Sedan after it's 2nd engine overhaul, in '79. And once in my beloved '83 300SD. The SD was by far the best car I've ever owned. The guy that bought it had no idea what a good car he was buying. It sold in 1999 in front of my home in one week for full asking price.

My Brother's 240D hand-me-down from our Dad was somewhere over 400,000 miles when donated to St. Vincent de Paul. Rust had taken over, but the engine was running fine for the miles.

Congratulations!
