Radiators
Hi
Is there any difference between a non turbo radiator and a turbo radiator, i am looking to replace a broken behr rad on a 1984 euro 300d 4 speed and they all seems to be for the turbo model. Also do all the radiators come with the transmission cooler attached. Thanks

Yes, the turbo radiator has a remote expansion tank with the rad cap on it.
You could certainly use a turbo rad on your non turbo car but you need the expansion tank to do it successfully. The oil cooler is separate from the rad. When removing the rad be extremely careful with the oil cooler, paticularly the oil hose fittings, they will turn in the tank very easily and ruin the fragile oil cooler.

I noticed the 84 euro has a radiator cap and the ones they are selling do not. Where would i mount the expansion tank? i only have a 79 300d to compare and that is the same as the euro. Thanks

You can order a radiator for a pre-1981 model 300D and it will be the same as yours.
