Just to clarify...the amp gets very hot when its in the car with the heater turned on.I dont want a fire situation and wondering if this is normal?

Do your center vents work?
Yes they work....
That area on my car gets warm from running the heat over a long period, but my center vents are completely dead.
Why do the vents matter?
Curious as to the answer to your question. I'm having problems with the blower on my 79sd. Replaced the amp but still having problems. There was evidence that the original amp was getting hot but I don't know if it was normal. When I get mine working I can shoot the amp with a non-contact thermometer to see what I get.
My intuition is that the amp generally runs warm. |
i figured as much....dont want the car to go up in smoke!
