What is it worth?

After swapping out my engines, I am stuck with a "rodbender" 603.971 and have no idea what a fair price is or just take it to scrap.
It is the long block with intake manifold, injectors, glow plugs and leaking injection pump. Before I pulled it, it was using 1 qt of oil per 100 miles and no power.
Does anyone have any ideas what it might be worth?

The heads worth a few bucks, what does it have a 17?

I'd probably try to sell the head, and IP. Bet you can get a couple hundred for the IP, and probably the better part of a G note for the complete head. But I havn't bought a 603 head thankfully, so I'm not sure of what the market value is now.

I'm not sure what head is on it. But at least you have given me a ball park.
I have been searching all the usual sites, CL, e-Bay, etc, but no used broken down engines, so I have no idea what it's worth.

it also helps to click the completed listings on fleabay to get actual sale prices. and do multiple simple search strings because fleabay takes the search string literally, they need a lot of work on their search engine

When I was disposing of my .971 short block someone wanted the crank for an M103 -> C36 conversion. In fact I might know someone who'll take the crank for a similar project. Not sure he'll want to pay for it. If you sell the head and are stuck with a short block (with reciprocating assembly) no one wants, I'll take it if we can hoist it into my car.
