Carrameow saying "Hi", remember me?

I just wanted to say Hi and report in. What happened to me?
1. We had a baby
2. I got poor
3. My new job works me just too hard
4. Gas got expensive and I sold my 300D for $1K to a guy who would love it, turned down some bigger offers much higher
5. My Homeowner's Association shut me down
6. I got old and a case of the middle age blues
7. I got interested in Mountain Climbing believe it or not
8. I work on Cars just as much, because I cannot afford to, I just do it when the neighbor's are away or asleep. I just got a new CH 60 gallon compressor
9. I can only afford to drive $1000 Bobo's, I have a fleet of 5 of them
10. My favorite car is my Suzuki Sidekick I bought for $800. Its like a minature tank, just like a 240D or 300D and has ateenie weenie 1.6L gas engine and 4WD. I drove it off the side of a ravine when I lost control on ice going for a mountain climb and then...just drove it right back out and continued on my trip

We missed your great posts! Sidekicks are truly underrated little 4WD vehicles - they make good thrashers and parts chasers.

Good to hear from you, Rich.

You need to think about converting that Suzuki to a VW diesel...

Rick (still apologizing for the "Mack Blue" business)

Sidekicks are called Gypsy here and are truly a legend, a small little extremely reliable 4WD with heart of gold, In India they are used by police and army as well and stand up well to the rigors of their duty in difficult terrains.

Btw, welcome back.

I remember all of you!!

Ghurka--he's got a brother who's a Jet pilot

Jimmy L--hope I wasn't wrong about that Volvo Diesel and its still running

RS899---the other day I was daydreaming of painting my Sidekick RS899 Green and I was going to ask for that formula he has

Hatteresguy --- great sense of humor, dresses real nice, gave the site some class

what's a "Bobo" -- an inexpensive $900 car that has basic mechanical integrity but when it goes bad,or needs $70 of parts you just junk it or give it to the kid next door and lose nothing--you fix it with duct tape and junkyard parts and G-- forbid, you never wax it or wash it or clean it, maybe its got like 5 owner's history in the glove compartment because you dont even bother to look

Ah! I was actually just thinking of you the other day! I noticed that since I returned to posting here, I had not seen you, and I actually searched your most recent posts for clue to your whereabouts.

Good to know you're okay, but I'm sad to hear you sold the 300D. You and that car were so very inspiring for me. The new owner better pamper that car, or I will hunt them down!

There was a Volvo diesel wagon lifting it's skirt when I would drive by but I never rubbed that inner thigh......

So if your bobo needs a cheap junkyard part, can you still hunt for that in your drawers? [in the dead of winter].......
