Option Codes '85 300CD. Anti-theft warning system?

Hi everyone-

I snapped a digital picture of the 1985 300CD's body, paintwork and options plate that I'm looking to buy today. I came home to analyze the codes and I found out that there is a code for an anti-theft warning device.

I know that the car is a bit unusual because it is Pajett red with medium brown leather interior.

What I didn't expect to find was the anti-theft warning device. There is a red flashing light between the sunroof and the rear defroster switches.

What does the anti theft device consist of?

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks,

Craig

WOW!

The anit-theft option is an alarm, a real basic one albeit RARE! It was an option oin the 300D, along with rear head rests, velour, leather and ortho-seats... I think it was about $300 and change. Its rare to find an 85 with ANY option. May I ask how you have a code guide???? Maybe I have options I don't know about... Please show me any code-cracker...

After surfing the web for hours a few months back I came across this site that defines the paint, upholstry codes and option codes.

www.amcon-luxled.com

Do you know where the 'brains' for the alarm are? Do you know if the flashing red light on the console is factory? From the placement, I thought it was aftermarket.

I saw that it flashes when the car is turned off. There isn't a remote on the key, so maybe it just works when the door is locked and someone opens it.

Any help is appreciated.

Craig

Best option code-breaker I've ever seen!!!! (and I've checked out a lot, from vintage sites to Aussie sites) Thank you..............

Edit: red switch is emergency flasher. red "button light" is aftermarket or dealer install (I think; my SD lacks this). The factory alarm arms whenever you lock driver's door with key.
