Godawful ugly, but better than some I've seen. The stock US lights aren't gorgeous either, but why make it worse. The light pattern? NOT DOT approved nor EEC I'm guessing (from the lack of approval stamps (required by law) on the lenses).

The line "approved by OEM suppliers" doesn't even make sense, but it probably sells lights.

Looking at the design, the corner light has to come off to mount the stock lights, these can't since they're molded in one piece, so likely these take some creative mounting and aren't the best fit. For close to $200 shipped, I think you're wasting your money.

Sounds great, if you really like the look of projector lamps and care much, much more about how they look than how well they light up the road.

Of course, the people that you blind while approaching may disagree with your choice.

Cheap optics are easy to make. Get good optics if you want performance.

I bought a pair of Depo imitation Euro's and I'm very happy with them. Light output is much better than the stock. They also have glass lenses not plastic. I have non-DOT high beams which helps but I like them much better for the look also. I don't know from first hand knowledge but I don't think you would be happy with them if you drive alot at night like I do. What bulbs do they use?

My CDI uses halogen bulbs on its projectors. You can use projectors with halogen OR the HID/Xenon bulbs, but the HID bulbs used them first.

After driving with the CDI's projector headlights it is difficult to go back into the euro headlights I have in my 2.5T. The projectors have a MUCH wider beam pattern, and the light output is extremely consistent. The euro headlights have just a few nearly indiscernible "hot spots", but I would never have noticed them if I hadn't gotten used to the good projectors in the CDI. The beam width was instantly noticed.

Also, good projectors will blind oncoming drivers less than even the best reflector optics. MUCH sharper cutoff = less glare.

I think that my PIAA projectors in around '90 pre-date any HID (production) lights on cars. Unfortunately, since the cutoff/mask is before the projector lense, the cutoff was much less precise than any properly designed/made reflector lights I've owned.
