'82 300D - never warms up

The engine temp on my 300D never warms up; it used to get over 80 and stay there no matter what the outside temps, but now it doesn't even get to 40 regardless of the weather or how long I drive it.

I was thinking the thermostat was stuck open. Any other suggestions?
