Why don't women like Diesels cars??

At least my Wife doesn't.

I have a few reasons maybe you can add to the list:

1. Too much noise at the front end
2. They smell at the rear end-"lol"
3. They are far from "Cute"

I'm not sure if I'm on target with this at all just what I have noticed from Wifey. I'm sure you guys can up with other ideas.

My wife is ok with the car, however we have a nervous Basset Hound and I think the noise drive's her up the wall.

My wife does think the 300D is a dog....I guess compared to our XJR or our C-350 it is.

Her biggest gripe right now is poor heat. I think the monovalve has failed, so I should fix it!!
The other reason is purely "pretentious".....we are downsizing and she is gouing from her 07 C-350 to this car. She is concerned what people think!!! I don't care what other people think!

My wife loves our diesels. The CD is her daily driver and she gave up a 2003 Acura TL-S for it.

Your women may not like diesels; mine like them. In fact they were her idea. Biodiesel takes away the stink and the performance of any of our three Benzes is better than her previous car, a 1969 VW Beetle (which she still owns). Additionally, she likes the looks. Maybe you need a new wife? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

My wife gets into the 300D and asks why it's so small. Remember it came in on the heels of the SDL and 93 SD. She loves driving the Diesel 'burb and topping 20 mpg. Like me, she'd rather get stuck behind a FedEx truck than a 68 Chevelle 454. Diesel fumes stick, gasoline fumes hurt your eyes, burn your lungs and the smell persists much longer.

About the only thing she hates is sinking into a freezing cold leather or tex seat. Dang, I should have gotten Hattie's SDL with velour

edit - I made up the 68 Chevelle 454. I don't know if such a beast exists.

I guess my 300SD is not as cute as her Kia Sportage and she likes to sit high since she is sort of short.

Trying to get back in the Diesel Mode by getting a few loose ends done on this MB.

The Turbo is fun to hear when driving, I guess that is the main good thing bout these cars. Good if you can roll the windows down and hit long hill. Plenty of them around here.

Nah, Wifey is OK!, she just not into all the noise I guess, plus they sit too low and she is a short body.

She loved her Volvo Diesel, it sat way higher, she just not into this 300SD don't even want to drive it.

Maybe she can't see the road?

Go figure.

my girlfriend doesn't like riding in my 300sd. She says it smells and people stare... however she does like to sit on the hood when its idling/rockin on the driveway!

Yeah I was right,

She tells me she can't see the road well. I'll get bigger tires next time.

I beg to differ.

My wife LOVES our diesel, and is planing (and saving) for a new one. BUT, I digress, it must be because she's German.

She likes the hood star, too. She pretends it's a machine gun sight...
