If I remember you have an 86 190D. It would help if you put the car that you have in the question or in a signature line.

In this instance, the wiring was different over the years for the switches. I believe that they also changed part numbers over time due to the different wiring. You would be surprised to see how many changes were made to the 190's between 1984 and 1986 (my biz partner had a 1986 190D and I have a 1984 190D - there are MANY differences well beyond the simple 2.2-->2.5 difference).

If you do not have a part number then people can help you if you tell them the car you have (i.e., year and model).
