I can't wait! Even a 10-20 cent difference would be nice. I think it is still lingering around 40 cents here, but this is better than the 80 that is was over the summer!

Diesel prices in many parts of the world should drop below gasoline this summer for the first time since mid-2007
I haven't seen diesel cheaper that gasoline in more than 5 years. What planet are they on?

It is a UK article. Diesel most likely was cheaper than gasoline there in 2007. Last summer when I went to Canada, diesel was a few cents cheaper per liter than gasoline. I don't know where it is at now up there but around here in MN it is around 25cents higher. That is the lowest gap I've seen in a long time.

This is bad timing for me as I am planning on buying another diesel Mercedes next fall/winter. Maybe they could wait to drop diesel prices until summer 2010?

The price delta is as low as 29 cents to a high of 35 at the stations I frequent around Atlanta.

In other countries; not the "Western Countries" Diesel Fuel can be almost 1/2 as much a gasoline. Even more so 10-15 years ago.

Diesel fuel is selling for $.02/gallon more than 87 octane here in San Diego. It's been coming down for a month or so now...

OK.. I paid $2.27 today. Didn't get the 2.19 it was out of the way... but I am getting 33.7 MPG or fuel cost of .101 cents per mile.

Fuel needs to be expensive to reduce consumption and increase demand for economical new cars. I was happy with $4 gas/$5 diesel.

Now that fuel is cheap again people have gone straight back to their V8 pickups and SUVs.

And going 80+ down the highway in them! It was funny to see people actually going near the speedlimit when it was expensive. Funny thing is, it is probably still costing them a lot since they are wasting so much of it now by doing that!

Very true here in Texas...I also think it is making life hard for my local bioD brewer. People are less willing to try alternative fuels with the cost of petro so low.
