What should the TOURQUE be on Injectors ?

Hey...

My injectors finally came so I will be doing the change over on MONDAY. My manual does not say anythinig about tourquing the injectors.

What should the tourqe be ?

I have a 240D with 178k

Any torque specification for the injector tube connections?

Reasonable and proper seems to work, but I wonder if I can be more exact.

mine is in Foot Lbs.......... is that metric ?

70-80 N-m (which is 51-60 lb.-ft). for the injectors.

The CD repair manual and the TDM manual both list these values. The same for tightening the injector nozzle holder halfs when cleaning/replacing the nozzles. I always use the high side of the range FWIW.

25 N-m for the injector lines.

65 Lbs-Ft...

Remember to Replace the heat-shield washer Every Time an injector is removed.....
