Please read!! Found the cause of water in floorboard

Folks, I posted earlier today about getting water in my read floorboard.. Well I found the issue. I knew the issue was a large one when I pulled out the garden hose and gave the car a complete deluge.

I found 1 inch of water in the floorboard!!!

What I found only pictures can really describe. I pulled the battery and battery tray out and found BAD RUST. Now this rust WAS NOT caused by acid leaking from the battery per se. The drain was completely blocked off with dirt, mud, pine needles, some unknown bolt. This drain is the one that when the compartment that houses the hood hinges drains into another area.....this area's drain was plugged. All water that washes down the windshield, hood, etc. is designed to go through this drain.

This drain is HUGE (like 3/4 inch by 1 inch). It must have plugged up over the years.

Around the drain I found massive rust holes that go directly to the inside cabin. All this water would have no choice but to go into the cabin!!

OK, to repair the problem I vacuumed out all the debris. Used a rod and a water hose to flush out the drain. Then applied Ospho on the rusted areas. Ospho treats the rust. Then I totally dried the area and used a product called "duct seal" Everyone should get some of this!! It is good to plug up anything!! I plugged all the rust holes with this duct seal. We use duct seal out in the chemoical plants to plug up electrical boxes and connections. It always stays pliable..

After I plugged the rust holes, I sprayed the whole area with undercoating.

Problem solved!!!!!!!!!!!!!
