banjo bolt on IP

I just fixed this half cracked nylon line on this banjo bolt on the IP. I had duct tape on it for a long time and finally got around to fixing it. Heat gun to soften (almost melt) the nylon stub that's still stuck to the barb, then heat both the barb and nylon tube and pushed it onto the barb. Worked out good. What's the function of this line? Something to do with turbo boost?

This is where the ALDA gets its boost pressure from the intake manifold. This is cleaned during the ALDA servicing (apparently you haven't done yours yet?). I would replace the whole hose with normal 100psi vinyl tubing of the appropriate size from your favorite hardware store. Cost is $2 and you can clean the banjos while doing it.

I have not done the Alda service. What's involved? The banjo on the IP as well as the nylon line is clean- no oil what so ever. Do I need to pull of the banjo at the manifold to inspect? If I make a T into this line, is this where I can measure boost?

Yes. Alda service is just cleaning the banjos and hoses. You *can* T in here but its not an ideal place, any loss in pressure at the gauge will result in performance decreases.

Where is the best place to T in a pressure gauge then? This is just a temporary gauge to see if boost is ok.

There is a 1/8" plug near the (rear I think??) of the manifold that you can put a fitting in.
