300d Window
 

I have a 84 300d, electric windows. The front window has detached from the motor or gear somehow. The motor runs up with the switch and the gear turns, but the window and slider are completely loose from it, you can move the window up by hand and it falls back down. Any idea what has broken?

The glass sits in a U channel that has rubber in it. It might have screws I don't remember. It could be that where the U channels meets the regulator is shot or the U channel is rusted out.
