A Warm Couple of Days.... (lots of pics)

...Leads to some work. Got my new French Euros put in. I'm thinking it might be too much orange/yellow up front and may switch to clear corners. City lights aren't wired up yet, but will be when it warms up again. I'm having a horrible time aligning the lights as the dials on the back are broken off. Switched to chrome cowl vents. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the MB part when I got them in the mail, but they still look great to me. Mud flaps went on easy too, I love the look of the stance with them installed. And finally, I put in a sweet Momo wood and alloy steering wheel made specifically for MB in 1979. Got a great deal on E-Bay and the Mercedes logo horn button is sweet .

Euro bumpers come next, plus the studden winter boots (Bundts) come off and the summer sneakers (Ronal R-9's) get put on. And I may be joining the trunk triangle club soon too.

Also didn't realize until today that I bought a 300D that matches the color I painted my house 2 years ago...

Looks good Squabble.

Here's your current lights:

Here's what clears would look like:

Here's what Amber Euro corners would look like:

I think you should look for the Amber corners.

Thanks for the comments, and thanks for the pics Chad! I'm still leaning towards clears but I crave all things Euro these days....

MUDFLAPS!
http://cgi.ebay.com/GENUINE-MERCEDES-RARE-W123-E-CLASS-MUDFLAPS-76-85_W0QQitemZ260372845098QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item260372845098&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1728|66%3A4|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A200

I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but I have a little ritual. As there is little one can do during the harsh winter of upstate NY living in the sticks, I spend a lot of time on-line. Once I figured out how to do it, I started looking around E-Bay in other countries to see what they had to offer me and my W123. So now, every Saturday morning, I go to E-Bay, I go to Advanced Search, I type in W123 in the search box, I scroll down to "Location" and I choose "Show only items in: Any country / region." And then, I sit and look through every.... single..... item..... posted with W123 in the title. It's nuts, I know, but I found all of my extras that way (steering wheel was a search for "Momo Mercedes"). I use W123 because there are a lot of gasser's out there with compatible stuff and I didn't want to learn any new languages and try searching that way. Most stuff is posted with W123 in the title. If you try "300D" you get a bunch of camera stuff to sift through. Very annoying.

The link I posted was the same seller who sold me mine and I think he's got a big stack of these somewhere. Sometimes they go for nothing, sometimes a lot, but he has posted a new one right after the old one for some time now. They come with somewhat flimsy hardware (we'll see how it lasts) that clamps on and bolts in using existing bolts and holes I didn't even know were under the car until I got down there to do it. Should mean no rust acceleration because of it. Happy hunting!

I do the same thing only I get to do it at work because I am a "dedicated" engineer who has to be avaialble for our sector at any time so I sit and wait for jobs to come in. I have even found some good ebay deals for my boss.

your car looks nice, should be cool to see the euro bumpers going on. you should get them tuesday

I must be a weirdo - I like the stock front on these cars! I love round headlights - I'm really kicking myself - I should have bought a 123!

I felt the same way until I drove home a few times at night. Then I knew I needed an upgrade. Plus, it's really what Mercedes wanted, the DOT wanted the round ones. The round look is nice, but I prefer it on classic Mustangs and 80's BMW's.

I like the round ones too. There is actually a round version with the big glass lens. I think Hella and Bosch both made versions of it.

I'm thinking of doing the euro lens as well just to get rid of the plastic trim ring crap that always cracks on the front end.

IMO...I Like your first photo's the the best. I like all the color up there. Orange, Clear and the Yellow.

Round euros are my favorite for the W123. You keep the classic look and gain better lighting and loose the ugly plastic headlight "door".
