I don't think the type with the electronic actuator can be used...unless you crack the code it uses...

Besides that craigslist and Fedex/Paypal is a bad combination. This turbo looks bad too, have to be careful, I've seen Sprinters with over 300k

What the heck does "used in box" mean?

It's used and comes in a box.

It will work but the electronic version can't be easily converted over to mechanical.

I can't tell if it has the same actuator as the turbo I just bought (see ebay link), but my turbo is a CAN controlled actuator. The only way to get that to work would be to drive around in a sprinter and guess which messages are relevant to the turbo, get documentation for it (hahaha), or download the machine code from the microcontroller to find the can messages.

If you want an electronic actuator, you need one that uses PWM instead of CAN.

Okay I want to upgrade my turbo, but I dont want to fool with electronics. Is there any Variable Geometry Turbos that have a mechanical boost adjustment?

There is another version of the sprinter turbo that uses a vacuum actuator for control, and the Jeep Liberty CRD turbo (which I use) also uses a vacuum actuator in the factory applicaion.
