insurance screwing me with my 85 300dt, anyone with legal advice?

This might be a strange post, but I figured if there was anyone who might understand my frustration it would be here.

A month ago I was in a fender bender in a parking lot in AZ. The 18 year old girl who hit me was at fault, admitted to fault, apologized, gave me all of her info...Fast-forward to today and her insurance is claiming only 50% liability and telling me to get the car fixed I have to TOTAL my car and get a SALVAGE title. (Ant that's only for 50% of the $ damages). This infuriates me! I spent $3500 on the car just 3 months ago and I love it. I've got every service record on the car since it was purchased, the car runs great, and it's got 173K miles. The damage is only $1750, but they estimate the vehicle to only be worth that much.

Has anyone on this forum had to deal with this type of situation? I don't want a salvage title just because I had to replace the fender, headlamp assembly and get a paint job. That's absurd!
