Wooo Everything Works!!

-knocks on piece of burlwood on my desk-

I installed a good resodered cruise amp in the SDL an hour ago and took it for a test drive to the truck stop to get fuel.. It works!!!! Woo

This is awesome, its like I have a brand new car from 1987.

That and I almost have all the burlwood for my interior. Just need the right rear door, and the shift surround.(hopefully Stuart didnt sell the glovebox bit). I'll head back to the junkyard tomorrow and get the rest of the burl off the dash(I hope the car is still there)

I do need to refinish 1 piece of burl and that is the AC switch panel but the rest are mint. I even have the ash tray.

I need to go back in and mount the cruise amp and warning buzzer since someone before me removed the old amp and I didn't see the mounting hardware.

Next on the list is new front brake rotors and pads.

That's a nice feeling isn't it? The only non-working item on Granny Smith is the sun visor. And I'm sure I'll never find a replacement in green.

Not to hijack, TheDon's thread, but.......wanna bet on the green sun visor?

No, I don't have one, but that's not to say, I might see one soon.

I could have had green ones from a 126 a while back, should have grabbed them. Congrats Joe, it's nice to have things in working order.

Congrats... Only my SL has that distinction. Ol' Turbo, Excelsior and Trigger are close... just the dang antennas.

Stuart, you can call me Joe.

oh.. and in addition to everything working I have no filled out the lows in my sound system.. Got the subs wired up and mounted in the trunk with little space lost.

I even managed to find my recording of the THX sound to test them out.

Congrats!

Great work!
It is a great feeling knowing that everything is as MB intended it to be.

I only have that stupid sunroof to deal with before Rudolf is in your league...
