OutBoard C/V Joint W124 (Another "LifeTime Fill" ?)
WhyFore EPC ONLY Lists InBoard C/V Joint (140 350 08 13) as a replacement Part?
Do the "Outers" never Go bad?

This is do to a rust problem in the axle, it tends to rust under the outer boot and brake, this seems to happen much more often than the outer joint giving out. Mercedes decided to have the complete axle shaft replaced in case of outer joint failure.

Thank You for the Explanation. Your "MogNess", (You're Right) Sometimes,I'm just too frugal... Inner C/V $80.00USD. IF the outer were the same,you be at $160.00USD WITHOUT Boots ,Clips , Lubricant,Etc. [AND at least an Afternoon of Greasy Fun] A NEW GKN/Loebro complete Half-Shaft is only $200.00 USD
