Purchase new Injector line? (601 #3 line)

I was rolling in the benz and noticed a smell of fuel and then it wasn't running right. Popped my hood and found the #3 cylinder hard fuel line snapped right at the injector. This happened 1hr from home and I can get a ride home but other then a junkyard where can I hope to find a new injector line?

About the only other place is the dealer and from what I've read, they are pricey. Does your car have the clip/bracket that clamps the injector lines and keeps them separated? If not, ensure that you take one from salvage or dealer. A missing clamp is what usually causes broken hard lines.

dont know about 601 but 603 is dam near impossible to find. MB quit making them, all the dealers I called in SE had 8 month wait.

I finally found used 1. Yeah make dam sure the clips are there and its aligned properly. I popped 3 of them after a GP RR, I put the lines on before reinstalling intake and must of bent them slightly. They are not forgiving!

I know I saw a bunch of 617 lines at every junkyard I went to. Those are thicker and shorter than the puny 603 lines.

Don`t see many 190D in the JY, pretty rare. I have only seen one last summer.

those metal clips are something like $7.00 a piece new. cheap when you think the price of a hard fuel line or getting towed in to a shop and down time, plus a motel if out of town and dinner with the Wife/GF, shopping etc...

Expensive when you think of the price at PNP. Pick N pocket.

Get out the Yellow Pages.
Some of the larger Fuel Injection Shops also have the equipment to make new Hard Lines. Bring your all the parts from your Old one with you in case they do not have the right size Line Nuts.
You also may have to bend it yourself.
Just like Auto Part stores sell lengths of brake lines some Fuel Injection Shops keep Fuel Injection Hard Line tubing of various O.D.s and I.D.s, the Line Nuts cut the tubing to length and Silver Braze new tips onto the tubing.

I copied this from another post but if you go up to the BUY PARTS button at the top of the page I believe you will find the 1-800 number.

Please call "Phil" if you can't find what you need in our catalog.
Phil 1-888-333-4642 - philip@peachparts.com 9AM-6PM ET

I believe Phil is connected with the Fastlane Parts that is one of the Forum Sponsers. He also gets things that are hard to find and not in there regular online ctaloge.
