What's Going on with My Clutch Hydraulics?
82 240D stick. I had clutch hydraulic issues for months and finally replaced , first the master and then the slave a few weeks ago. Bled several times using the FSM technique of running a hose from the front caliper etc etc. Thought I got all the air out and had a good solid pedal at the time.
Now the pedal is intermittently fairly soft and sometimes pretty hard. When soft, it engages pretty low to the floor. The gearbox works in all gears OK, I am just concerned that it is going to fail again. What else could be wrong? Rick

I would try bleeding it again just to be sure all air is gone
