Mama told me. Papa told me too.

They warned me that if I hung out with a certain crowd that I would start acting the way they acted. Ths story is dedicated to my folks.
I've been reading and occasionally contributing to this forum for a couple of years now. Couldn't help but notice that many of the members own bunches of these old MB's. One is not enough; they are addicted. Well it rubbed off, just like Mama said it would.
Last weekend my wife and I took a little road trip and were passing through Columbia, TN. Many of you may not know this, but Columbia is the Mule Capital of the World. And last Saturday was 'Mule Day'. Folks came from far and wide to see the mule parades, trade mule accessories, and just have a good time in general. One of the longstanding traditions of Mule Day is that many many folks hold yard sales. You are not out of sight of one yard sale before you see another. As we cruised along, my wife suddenly said "Stop -- turn around now". Being a well trained husband, I did just that and pulled up into a yard sale featuring, among many other things, a beautiful '83 300 SD. Twenty minutes later, we were the proud owners of Mercedes #2. We put $500 down and she picked it up yesterday. Got it home last night and got up this morning and went to work. Will post more about it when I check it out a little better.
At any rate ---- Mama was right. Gee thanks guys (and gals)

Could be one of the largest under-statements I can remember on this forum!

Congrats on the new car, and congrats on the wife. Both I'm sure are keepers.
Now you know we need pics. You decide which one you choose to post pics of......

Yup, that's how the disease starts. I hear it's fairly painless if managed well

I almost became a CWC member, there was a pretty nice turbo wagon at an estate sale I went to, the SLS worked and everything, under 200k miles, nice paint, lots of spares in the trunk. I couldn't get another car at the time, but I talked to the guy running the sale, he sold that running diesel wagon for $500

I am starting to believe the CWC is an urban legend. Everytime I run up on a Wagon the Owner want stupid big money for it.

it creeps up on you... I found a 115 with euro bumpers at the junk yard, I pulled them off but then couldn't justifying buying them as i have to get rid of this particular 115, not the best example of a 115... i forsee a new benz in my future, once my taxes roll back to me...

Doesn't it have to move to be an RV?

Right now its more of a guest cottage on 4 wheels with a Mercedes badge on it.

My dad had that crazy DIESEL BENZ DISEASE, he used to buy a ton of W123 and W126, one time we owned 5 Diesel mercedes 3 W123 and 2 W126, He seem to recovered when he finally relized when diesel was going up and he no longer sell it for a good price, My dad and I spend time fixing up these cars...
