Leak on oil pressure gauge fitting.
What a mess! It was very small but went for a while before I noticed it. Dark shoes and dark floor mats and poor situational awareness skills led to a greasy, black mess! I'm sure many of you know this first-hand. The oil dripped ever so slowly and soaked the dash-panel insulation and dripped out the corners so it was hard to notice.
I got it pretty well cleaned up and the fitting tightened and am driving around with a white t-shirt on the floor until I'm sure the problem is solved. Now I need some parts since I don't think the floor mats will clean up. Kindly check my WTB in the "Parts" section. Thanks.

If it soaked into the floor mats, look carefully at the strip of carpet to the left- if you dont get it out of that, it will soak back into the replacement floor carpet. BTDT. I scrubbed, soaked, kitty littered, industrial dry sweep compound'ed the floor- and oil still came out of god knows where. Finally put down some thick black plastic and then put the floor carpet in.
Good luck- and double check the fitting- as it might be the oil gauge itself.

Keep an eye on it, I recently had a similar situation, and it was leaking from somewhere inside the pressure gauge. I had to replace the gauge to fix it.
