What do you think my 1986, 190D, 2.5L, 5-speed is worth?

I know it's a tough question and I do plan to put it on Ebay, but a friend knows someone who may want one. I estimate $1,800 - $2,800.

It has 186K miles, body in OK shape, some dents, drivers seat is rough, dash has signature 190 cracks.

This is the "good side".

Take some really good pictures, hype the hell out of it, make a good presentation (not just a few sentences bunched together at the top), mention the all powerful "WVO" word and you'll probably get $3-4k.

Post on CL, multiply actual MPG x 1.5-1.8. Use 'sweet german diesel lasts forever, not broken in yet' someplace.

Come wintertime, I'll be looking for one of these. I may want to garage the SDL.

I'd leap on one in good condition under $2000.
