any luck with KYB Gas-A-Just Shocks?

Found them on tirerack for half of what the bilstien HD's go for.. Ive used this brand on other cars ive owned.. Not sure if they stand up to the w126 diesels weight.

I had KYB's on my Lincoln Town Car. In that application they worked well and firmed up the ride from what it had been (mush) to typical German car. After I wore those out, I instead went with late-model PI (cop car) shocks in front, while keeping the KYB's in the rear. That setup was just about perfect-for an American luxo-barge. I don't think I would run KYB's on a Mercedes.

Keep Your Bilsteins

i just installed a set of kyb's on my dads coupe. Havent driven it yet but the shocks are about half the size of the bilsteins and are made from stamped metal. IDK how theyll hold up. On my SD I put sachs on the front and bilsteins in the back

I have KYB's on the back of my 116.120 and Bilstein's on the rear. That's just what I was able to find in stock at the time. I am happy with either one. I have used both and noticed no appreciable difference in ride or handling in my car's 311,000 miles...Robert

P.S. My PREFERENCE is Koni's because of their lifetime warranty...Robert

Don't Bilsteins also have a lifetime warranty?

Thumbs up

Bilstein HD, skip the Comforts.

Unless you are in a super pinch, don't consider anything else.
