JUST WONT START
I just replaced my injectors on my 85 300D, and i cant get it to start. I also changed the main fuel filter and primed it for quite a while with no luck. I next loosened some of the fuel lines at the injectors and still no fuel or air leaving. Was wondering if someone else had this problem and knew how to cure it . Thanks, Bill.

If you did not fill the new fuel filter before installing it you might be pumping for awhile. Why try to start and run the engine with wd40 until the fuel system loads up properly..

Pump the hand pump until it gets hard. Then start cranking in 30 second bursts, waiting two minutes between for the starter to cool off, with the hard lines loosened at the injectors. Once you start getting fuel out of an injector, tighten that line back up. It sounds like you are on the right track, just keep doing it.

If you did not fill the filter (I do not fill it) you will need to do alot of pumping on the hand primer; as others have said. When I do this I can hear the Air being purged out of the IP housing by way of the Over Flow Valve. When the Air is out the sound changes. When the sound changes I continue to pump for a little while more to make sure. But that only bleeds the air out of the IP housing. It will not bleed the air out of the Hard LInes.
Keep the Hard Line Nuts up by the Intectors Loose until you see Fuel comming out.
