Looks like a Romanian Biodiesel "Conversion"

What's a 200D?
I like the headlights. |

That sounds just like a OM615 motor....
Didn't that 2.4L BMW motor have about the same power as a OM617? |
There was another video about a W115 with a 617.95x engine that came up after watching the video about the Beemer powered Benz. I was trying to pay particular attention to where the the oil filter was on the 617 but the video wasn't good enough.

Was it someone here in the States or abroad? I thought someone here on the forum made an adapter plate...
|
I'm sure the 115 with the 617 was in the US.

BMW 2.4L Diesel
1983 BMW 524TD
113 hp @ 4800 RPM 154 LB FT Torque @ 2400 300SD was lighter and a bit more powerful. 125 HP 170 LB FT TQ Curb Weight 3650 LB Lincoln claimed their version had 115HP and 155lb ft. MKVII Curb Weight was 4100lb with the diesel option. There were many BMW and Lincoln 2.4L Diesels around Bellevue Washington when I owned my 83 300SD. I never had any problem leaving them in my soot. :) |
