IP Device Next to Stop Unit?

I have a 87' OM603 300sdl california car.

What is the device with 3 wires on top of the IP next to the Sop Unit?
I can't find it in the FSM, or DC FSM.

It appears to be leaking fuel where it contacts the IP.

Picture added.

It's the fuel rack position sensor. I found it mentioned in my "Introduction to service" manual for 1987 model year.

Thanks. I'll lookup where the signal goes. Is that part of pollution control? or the ELR for idle control?

Probably an "O" ring under the sensor housing.
