Transmission Mount Broken
My 1985 300d was in a front end wreck and shifted the engine and tranny off its mounts. Passenger side engine mount is ok but, drivers side mounting arm (engine carrier) snapped.
Transmission mount tore out at the large retaining nut at the top of mount. I am not talking about the lower support metal. I am talking about the upper transmission metal part you would attach large nut to retain the top of rubber mount. Now there is nothing to attach mount at the top. It broke in half at bolt hole. Is this going to have to be welded or is this part interchangable from another tranny? It looks like the mounting hole is a large part of tranny. Paul |

It could probably be aluminum welded if need be.

The tailpiece of the transmission is removable.
