So today I carpooled with a friend to class. I was finished with my class early to I decided to put some work on the 83 SD. I read here something about plugging lines to get certain vents to work. To my success, I plugged one of the lines and cold air came out the defrost vents (which was cool to me since I only got air coming out the way left and the way right). Then I pulled out the vacuum pod's cover and pulled out the spring inside....

After this only the defrost blows....When I put it on the AC or on economy, it doesn't blow anything. Compressor engages but no air. When I press the way left button for defrost, lots of [hot] air! Any other button on the CCU is as good as the " 0 " button. What did I do wrong?
