Around here lately, I've seen a couple rusty ones in that price-range. And last week I looked at a slighly rusty one for $1950, with sheets of clearcoat peeing off the hood, dead AC and no third seat. Floors were solid and it did have the roof crossbars though.

Beat the streets and be patient. It took me three or so years to find a good one for the right price.
