Water pump preference?

Does anybody have a preference for water pump manufacturers?

Febi
Meyle
Graf
Geba
Laso

They all price out at about the same with the Geba $16 less.

I'd make sure the one I got was an OEM replacement made in Germany not some cheap chinese knock-off.

Last time I needed a water pump, I was pleasantly suprised to find that the dealer had the best price, by substantial margin.

I found a Meyle Germany pump online for $52.29. That is a good deal.

I have a Laso on my car right now.....put it on about 5 years ago, its been fine since....over 60k on it now.

I'd use any of them made in Germany, I know Meyle and Laso are....

I'd be cautious of Febi....they've been making some junk in China now....

I paid $35 at the dealer several years ago. I was shocked when they said "$35 for the pump with a $75 core deposit." I was certain they had the price and core charge reversed; fortunately, they were right.

I guess I am fortunate that my pump failed when it did!!! I just got a quote from the local dealer: $114 plus a $73 core charge.

Can't recall exactly, but I want to say I bought a Hepu water pump last summer. I think it was around $40 or so.

I avoid the dealership like the plague...they gouge on parts just because they can.

If you're willing to take a short drive to Royal Oak, there's a great parts place there...that's where I buy all my stuff.
