how to replace sterring linkage on 1980 300SD?

Hello, I am attempting to complete this job myself, I have a wonderful mechanic, because he is so busy these days if often to get him exactly when I need him. Please help.

The term linkage is a little general. I do not know if you mean all of the linkages or only part of it. Either way below is the part of our site where we put some of the better do it yourself Threads. There is a steering section:

You need the MB FACTORY SHOP MANUAL for your car to do this safely and well.
You could do it safely but still wear out the tires quickly... that is why I made that distinction...
Steering and Brakes.... one should have someone experienced supervising you at LEAST the first time....
Is your life insurance PAID UP IN FULL ?
