Angry AC PROBLEM

My AC was working fine. Yesterday it stopped cooling, started, then stopped for good. I'm sure the refridgerant didn't leak. The clutch(?) at the compresser doesn't seem to engage now. Was thinking to test wires for power at compresser. If no power, wonder if it could temporarily be hot wired to a switch? It's hard for me to get at wire hook-up at compresser. And of course my indy ( with car lift ) is closed til next Tuesday.
Any ideas??

check the low side pressure - make SURE the refridgerant has not leaked out....

Don't jumper anything, if you get the clutch to pull in and there's no Freon (and therefore oil) it will destroy the compressor
You have a complicated system to troubleshoot, probably need to wait till your Indy returns.

Talking

Good news. The plug wasn't connected properly.
Thanks for the advice.

well, call that fortunate! Some shops would have hooked up pressure gauges and taken some readings and then (Maybe!) they would find the loose plug but still charge you something like $225 ( or more!) for the work
