Window wont close

HI, have a 1993 300d and the passenger rear window does not go all the way closed. It stops about 2 inches from completely closing. when it hits that point I can see the door panel flex slightly. Is it time for a new regulator? Can this one be repaired? If I can get the window to close all the way I would be happy with that. Any help or direction would be appreciated, Thank you.

On the newer models, you would close the window and continue to hold the switch for a couple of more seconds while closed, then do the same going down so the range of travel was re-learned.

Guessing that own't work on yours......?

The regulator is a fancy cable-drive setup....its not computerized....just switches.

I'd take the door panel off and take a look at what is going on. W124 rear regulators aren't really a regulator, its more like a cable driven elevator for the glass. And the motor is combined as part of it....nearly a $400 part.

I just posted a writeup on replacing the regulator - http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/showthread.php?t=253043

If the door panel bulges, my guess is the cable is off the tracks in the spool. You might be able to get the cable reseated but it won't be a long-term fix if the tracks in the spool are compromised.

I think Terry's point is the switch and motor go out of sync on cars with a convenience module. I don't know if a 93 300D has a convenience module.
