W210 PS Pump

So i changed the oil in the PS pump, and the steering is still hard when trying to turn the wheel fast. Also sometimes there is a whistle noise from the pump when the car has been running for over an hour or so. I drained a little of the ps oil and the steering gets really nice and easy, but the pump is making a lot of noise. When i topped it off to proper levels it gets hard again. any idea. bad ps pump?

Have you bled the lines by turning the steering wheel lock to lock (enigine on) and holding the wheel against the bump stops for a moment or two?

The rack is NEVER to be allowed to run dry while flushing.

I did not try that, but i do not know how to do this. Basically i would have to let the air out, right. I know how to bleed the brake lines, but not sure about this.

Lift the front of the car and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock with the engine off. That will purge the air from the rack. Be sure to monitor the fluid level in the reservoir.
