Wishing Butterball Goodbye
Still can't believe the car is leaving. What's really sad is how attached I am to it. Bought it donated for 1200, with 127k on the odometer. Car treated me right, and taught me a lot about diesels, and Mercedes in general. Don't know how a local to VA car could have gotten so rusted, but the body is nice. Floors, on the other hand, were about to become as a Flintstone mobile. Many parts came off of her to save others in distress. Only lived to 148k miles. This beer's for you, Butterball. You'll live forever in my heart. Tomorrow I get to update my sig.

Other than the way it's sitting, low compression on three cylinders. Around the 200 mark. Only one was above 350.

Wasn't she one of your first ones? She lives on in donations. It's always hard to say "that's it..." which is why so many cars just end up in a field getting in the way of the lawn mower. Be proud Tony, you did the right thing.

I got three more things while waiting for the forktruck to lift it off the trailer. The two oil filter hold down nuts, and a heater hose that runs by the filter housing. I forgot, that is a new one, so I had to grab it. May she provide more parts to someone.
