Storage or parking in NJ, PA or DE?

Gents,

I am in a bind. I am finally moving to DE/ SE PA and i put in storage my house stuff by reserving one of those handy 10x30' public storage.

When i got there with my unregistered Benz (that is the one i kept for 2 years in my garage reparing little by little stuff on it before making it road worthy; which it is not yet!!!) the gal at the facility told me that i could not store the car there unless i have a current registration and insurance (that means that the car need to be legally road worthy to be stored, which defeat he purpose of the storage!!!).

Would there be a kind soul and fellow Peach Benzer to allow me to park at their place until i complete my move to that fair part of the world?

PM me if you have room on your farm or barn for a month...

If you look at the local state registration laws, you might be able to register the car as a historic, antique, or classic car. I looked briefly and found a reference to antique and classic registrations in PA, which depend on the age of the car (>25 years = antique, > 15 = classic).

Antique registrations in PA do not require a safety inspection or emissions, so that might be the way to go.

Rashakor,

I have a hanger in which I have one car, bus, & two planes. If we can not get you inside, We can park it outside. It is located in Woodbine NJ. Call (before (9:00PM) or PM me if you need this.

I can work with the airport manager about the non tagged vehicle.

If you're not afraid to leave it outside in a somewhat urban atmosphere I have a parking space at my apartment down there. I'm living up in CT for the summer, only one of my roomates is down there so we have a free spot. I'd be wary of simply leaving it for a month but if you're desperate it is here--PM me and I'll talk to my roomate, should be no problem. Its located in Conshohocken.
