Ignition switch help !!!
 

Hi all! I just bought a 1979 300SD.It has a 617.950eng. It has the wireing to the ignition switch all cut and just hanging there.The car can be started by touching two wires. I need a diagram to tell me what wires go to what plug in the switch barrel. The numbers on the barrel plug are P,30,50,R,P30,30,15,15. I did a search of 16 pages but couldnt find one for this year.Thank You:eek:

From what I can tell, from parts sources, the ignition switch should be the same as mine. Here is a listing from a diagram that I have:
15R...........RED-GRN WARNING MODULE
15.............RED-BLK FUSE
50.............VIO-WHT NEUTRAL SAFETY & BACK-UP LT. SW.
15X...........RED-YEL FUSE
P30...........GRN-WHT LT. SW. CONN.
30.............RED LT. SW. CONN. & STARTER
30.............RED STARTER

Hopefully, that will help sort things out.
