88c thermostat and turbo performance
i would like to know if there will be any detrimental effect on the turbo or engine performance if i replace the orignal 88'C thermostat on a turbocharged intercooled diesel engine .

If you replace it with a metal plate or a rubber ball, I think that will be detrimental.
If you put in another thermostat, I think you'll be fine.
