Euro or USDM??
I just bought an 86 190d 2.5 5speed. Due to the 5 speed a suspect that the car might be an euro version, but the headlights are not.
Is there any way to find out for sure?? Also.. other than headlights what else is different n a euro w201 190d 2.5 compared with the american version. |

Run the VIN on the Russian MB site. It will list all the options and country the car was made for.

Welcome to the "190D" club.
Euro cars did not have climate control, just the dials for manual operation. There were quite a few 2.5s sold in North America with manual trans, just not the 2.5 turbo version (1987).

I found a paper saying that the car apparently belong to someone in the army in Germany... it is from the late 80's. The oldest receipt I can find is from 93 in Florida. Also the owner's manual is all in liters and bar for tire pressure.
However, it has climate control. |
